More specifically, those squiggly lines on old film headers. I don't know the technical term for it.

It can be seen at the beginning of this Ocean's 11 clip

Is there a plug in, anything like that? I know I could make this in photoshop, but am kinda looking for a faster easier way to do this.

Thanks.

[malcolm DeSoto] "Is there a plug in, anything like that? "

Who needs a stinkin' plugin, for cryin' out loud?

You know what that stuff is, don't you? In the film world, it's just somebody who wrote in grease pencil on the film.

You just make a REALLY WIDE AND NOT TOO TALL (perhaps 720 max) photoshop document and use the big ol' fat Photoshop pencil icon to write appropriate words.

Then import into AE, and put it in a comp. Rotate it 90 degrees, and animate the position using hold keyframes to give it that jerky look.

If it takes you any more than 5 minutes to get the animation done, you need to go back to AE School.
