3d balloon strings
by Ole-Magnus Saxegard on Aug 1, 2008 at 4:11:03 am

We're doing a project where we have a rotating girl shot on green screen holding a bunch of balloon strings in her hand and then we are going to have lightbulbs attached to them instead of balloons, also rotating and shot on green screen.

Everything will be in 3d space and the camera will track 360 around the girl.

Anyone know how to create these strings in AE-3D?

The bulbs and the girl will auto orient to camera but obviously that wont work with the strings...

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure I really understand..

If you are trying to work out a way to create new strings, from the girl to the lightbulbs.. couldn't you just use drawing a path using customs shapes, and just using the stroke ??? and just key frame it ??

hmm, yeah I guess, but there is a lot of strings and I have to be able to rotate around them 360 in 3D space, while the y are still connected to the balloons and the girls hand...

Have tried 3D stroke with a bit of expressions but have been unsuccessful so far...

thanks anyway!
