One video, many pieces

Hey there all!

I want to take footage and break into several pieces. What is the best way to achieve this. I am sure the solution is simple but I can't get my newbie brain to figure it out!

Check out the Card Dance or Shatter effects.

You can use Sony Vegas or other Video Editing Program to break the video...If you want to do it in After Effects you have to hit CTRL + Shift + D in the timeline exactly where you want to break your video to literally Trim it.
