Stabilizing about a 4 Pin Corner Track
by Benjamin Tattersley on Jul 24, 2008 at 10:59:13 am

Is ti possible that i can set up a four pin corner track and stabilize the footage about that, so have the points say locked onto the edges of a sign and have the footage skew and distort around it?
Thanks in advance, Ben Tattersley

No. But it IS possible to stabilize both position and rotation, which results in the same thing. Then, use either Corner Pin or a 3D layer to replace the sign.

You can also do a corner pin MOTION track to insert video over the sign, then stabilize it later.

Given a choice, I'd go with the first option.

I think cc cornerpin should do what you were originally describing.
