I need a mesh warp plug-in that uses corner points to warp, not bezier points. I need to wrap video around a complex geometric object, so I want to specify a specific number of columns and rows. The Bezier points are just causing too much distortion and they don't seem to be convertable to corner points. Any ideas? I've been faking it with mattes and CC power pin, but its just too much to maintain.

Yup: an actual 3D application. AE straight out of the box can't do what you want.
Now, you might -- repeat, MIGHT -- be able to accomplish what you need with one of the Zaxwerks plugins, but I make no guarantees. Just google zaxwerks, and you're there -- check 'em out.

don't know if it's exactly what you're looking for but Mesh Warp lets you grab each intersection and choose the amount of columns and rows. (also try grabbing each point's bezier arm for full control!)
