AE 7.0 Installation Problem
by Matt Burrows (thrillbot) on Jul 19, 2008 at 9:07:49 pm

Earlier today I was reinstalling my old version of Adobe Creative Suite Production Studio Premium on a new workstation. Very early in the process I got the blue fatal error screen. Apparently enough of the After Effects installation completed as to make my system think that AE is installed. I can’t uninstall it so that I can start the process from scratch. When I put the first install disk in it tells me that After Effects is already installed and that it will not be modified. I can’t run a repair on the install and I can’t seem to uninstall the application completely. When I try to uninstall I keep getting the message, “uninstall wizard was interrupted, uninstall incomplete”. Does anyone have any thoughts?

if you run windows, its a easy fix. microsoft has a free download to make your computer get amnesia and not know it ever installed certain programs. google this and install it from microsoft.

windows install cleanup

Hi Chris,

I'm sorry this has taken so long but I wanted to thank you for the help. It worked perfectly! I really appreciate it.

Matt
