Camera lens distortion
by Adam McEwen (AdamMc) on Jul 15, 2008 at 11:04:38 am

Hi,

I am currently working on a project in which i am using Trapcode's 3D Stroke to write on a company logo. I am using cameras to move around the scene as this is happening.

I have created the logo and the 3D Stroke is working nicely, however when i add the camera the logo becomes distorted due, i think to the lens distortion.

Is there any way around this so that the logo is undistorted?

Thankyou in advance
Adam

Change the focal length of the 3d camera to something like 35mm. You probably have the length at a exaggerated setting which is causing your distortion. I am assuming the image has a "fish eye" look of some sort.

Hope this helps

Iv tried experimenting with the focal length and 35 does seem to be closest but the image is still distorted.

The image is squashed, so it looks fatter and shorter than the path. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the help,
Adam
