Preventing curvy camera movement in AE?
by Toby Turner on Jul 15, 2008 at 2:47:13 am

I turned on my video as a 3D layer, made a camera, keyframed, then moved down some frames later and keyframed, so the camera would move down.

This works fine - but if I move forward more, copied the previous keyframe so it'd stay still, and then moved forward again and had the camera zoom out and move, everything seems to mess up. I get these curvy camera movements, like shown here:

What can I do to fix this? Or what am I doing wrong?

Thanks!
Toby

Highlight your Keyframes, right click on them and select the Keyframe Interpolation tab. Change anything that says Bezier to Linear.

Hoe this helps.

I think for now I'm going to leave the default interpolation to Linear.

Thanks again!

Hah! That first tutorial was perfect! I ended up trying to edit it with framehold in Premiere (eeck). Thanks for the help!
