Change Video Color "How To"
by Joey Condeelis (Joey) on Jul 14, 2008 at 3:28:53 pm

I have a movie clip of a White Show Avalanche. How can I change the color from White to another earthly color. I would like to post 2 images, one still of the white avalanche and one still image of the color or look I am after. Can you post or attach images to this thread? If so how?

I am not just trying to change the Hue/Saturation.

THANKS

THANKS

You could use Tint, you could use Colorama, you could use Tritone, You could use Change Color or Change To Color......

....in other words, check out the Color Correction category of effects in AE. AE Help give you a clue how to use them.

i would pre-mask the rocks with invert luma mask so they don't turn a different color too, just the snow. The best color corrector I've seen for AE that can change even small objects like flowers and leave everything else alone is color finesse.

hmm, AE's change to color effect isn't really that bad. That might work well enough for you. it has a lot of tolerance settings.
