Rendering HD mpeg2 Error

I've been running into an error when trying to render as Mpeg2 1920x1080. The error i get is.

AfterEffects: AEGP Plugin media IO Plugin:
The current video output size (1920x1080) is not valid for MPEG2 format. Adjust the composition size or use the ouput module's stretch or crop options to make the output 352x288.
MediaIO

(5027 :: 12)

The content is native 1920x1080 mov files. All i need to do is convert them to mpeg2.

All help is appreciated, i tried searching teh error and haven't found much of anything relevant.

Don't use AE to do the job. Use AE to render a high-quality file, then use a different compression application to do the conversion to MPEG2.

What to recommend for that. Sorenson? or is there something better. i heard sorenson wasn't the best?

Sorenson Squeeze is just fine. If you're on a Mac, Compressor also does a good job. And don't forget that DVD authoring software generally can do the conversion, too.
