Issue with importing image sequence

I am working on a project that is using a 3D camera. I recently imported an image sequence into the project, but when I place it on the time-line, it does not show up at all in the comp. window. I have turned off all of the eyeballs, solo'd the layer and it is no where to be found.
I then started a new project and brought it in and there is no issue. I am not sure what the reason is. I am going to have to render out the image sequence in a new comp or should I try to pre-compose the image sequence layer in the comp that is giving me issues?

Did you set the image sequence as a 3D layer? Are there lights in your composition? If the layer is 3D what is it's location and what is the camera's location/point of interest? Is Depth of Field on?

I can't even see a bounding box around the object - so I can't even zoom out and see it anywhere!
I have tried to turn it into a 3D layer and I still can't see it in the comp.
As I said, even when solo'd, it doesn't show in the COMP window, but it is VISIBLE in the timeline. Does that make sense?
