XDCam color

I'm working with some XDCAM HD footage and notice when opened up just in quicktime from the desktop it looks great, but in AE it looks washed out, renders washed out too. I assume I haven't set something right. Any ideas what that might be?

probably color management in file->project settings, your gamma settings aren't preset. If you had SD or HD color space b4 try those, they will brighten up the image.
