Can you keyframe Wiggle?
by David Del (DavidD) on Jul 4, 2008 at 9:10:06 pm

I want to keyframe a wiggle expression - wiggle (5, 20), but I am not sure how to do it. When I change the wiggle value, it stays changed. Is there a way of going from wiggle (0,0) to wiggle (5,20)?

thanks

the key is to use an Expression Control effect to keyframe your wiggle values.

click on my head up at the top - it will take you to some tutorials. Find the ones called Expression Controls Pt1 - 3. Pt. 3 explains exactly how to do this.

Re: Can you keyframe Wiggle? Disappearing text with wiggle??!?
by David Del on Jul 6, 2008 at 7:58:18 pm

First off, thanks for that. It really helped -

Now the secondary issue : when I use Wiggle, my text will often flash off/on. I am not sure why it does this. When I get rid of the wiggle expression, the text stays solid. When I add a wiggle expression, it sometimes disappears. Any ideas what is going on here?

I assume your wiggling the position, no? How big is the wiggle? Is it wiggling off the screen momentarily?

No it was very small (10,2). I am going to try something else, maybe keyframe it by hand.
