trapcode shine - or similar effect
by Johannes Schwarz on Jun 10, 2008 at 1:55:09 pm

Hi everyone,

I've been playing around with trapcode shine but I don't get any usable result - which undoubtly is my fault.

What I'm shooting for:
I have a jigsaw puzzle "plain" with one piece missing. From this "hole" I would like light to emit, then do a camera pan.. yada yada yada....

I've looked at the trapcode site and its example of the 3d globe that emits light, but no matter how I set my shine attributes they make the and they seem to be on the plain and not go up - quite aside from the fact the the light emission blures and "washes" out my picture

The end result should look something like this
http://69.90.174.249/photos/display_pic_with_logo/66151/66151,1168286090,1....

If anyone has useful tips or pointers to tutorials I shall be really grateful,

Johannes

shine doesn't work in 3d space. so what you could do is get your camera data fixed, next that comp into another, and apply shine on that.
