Text Tracking Problem?

After I have my text all set and ready to go, I try and add a animation effect and give it a tracking effect, so that the words will spread apart just like in a movie trailer. Only problem is that when I do this the words are spreading apart from left to right. The far left letter will spay put and the rest of the word will start to spread out. I want them to spread apart from the center, so they both go left and right from the center, but nothing I do seems to work! Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks a lot
