Animating a Chain around an object
by gian ganziano on Jun 6, 2008 at 9:39:53 am

Forgive me for this probably basic question, but it has been a few years since i have really played with After Effects.
I am trying to create a Chain that comes flying in and wraps around a leg of a person. I have footage shot on film of the actors, but i now need to add the chain coming in and wrapping around his leg.
For a temp comp, i used paint on, but hand drawing it, was a little sloppy. I would like to basically give it Main Keyframes for position then have it animate between those. If i can just get a nice smooth line to animate, i am happy, but if there is a way to also add a chain texture, that would be amaziag.....
Any and all help is appreciated.
Again, sorry for this probably basic question....
Much appreciated.

This is NOT a basic question. To do the job properly, you need to use a 3D application.
