Preserve timecode

Does anyone know how to preserve timecode info in mov files. I need to touch up some mov but need to save the timecode. Thanks!

You may need to use a script to do this. Sorry, but I lost all the bookmarks in my browser, so I'd have to google "after effects script"... or you could do it.

Now, you CAN change the starting time code in an AE comp to match your actual time code, but that's a pain if you have to do a bunch of clips.
