Trapcode ?
by Daniel Elder (djelder) on May 20, 2008 at 7:30:39 pm

Since the trapcode forum seems to be either on the way out or no one is really responding over there, I thought I'd try my question here.

I am working on a project with Shine and Particular. Now 90% of the time my renders go out smoothly, no problem. The other 10% they have a flashing red X on the render, and I have no idea why this happens. And the red x is ever so faint, but it's noticable.

Any ideas why this happens only 10% of the time? Thanks

Because about 10% of the time, you're using the one Trapcode effect that either 1) hasn't been for or 2) has an incorrectly-entered the key code.

That red X means it's still in demo mode. So go do what you need to do.

Hi,

I could be wrong here, but I vaguely remember there being a bug in one version of some of the plugins where this would happen. It may be that you just need to make sure you have the latest version. (Hopefully this will not require a paid upgrade.)

Of course the Key code could be the issue, but that wouldn't explain why it happens 10% of the time and only very faintly.

If you figure it out, please let us know so as to add to the general pool of knowledge.

Hope this helps,

Lars

I will, I am reinstalling all the plugs, and will report back to you shortly. Thanks for the input

This sometimes happens to me, i just re-type the serial code and the problem usually corrects itself. only ever usually happens when i use shine, all the other trapcode plugs are fine.

Hope you get it sorted
