1) Select the layer you want replaced in the timeline panel.
2) alt+click on the layer you want to replace it with in the project panel.
3) with alt held down, drag the layer on top of the layer in the timeline.

[Yoash Barnash]"I filmed a door and then I moved the camera till the door was out from the frame. Now i got a pic of another door that I want to replace with the original door. How can I cut the original door and replace it in 3D with the other door within the whole movie?"
So you shot the footage with NO IDEA how you were going to do this effect, right?
You'll have to rotoscope the door into place, moving the new door frame by frame to match your camera move. If that doesn't sound easy, well, you're right! Be prepared for many hours of painstaking work!
Dave's Stock Answer #2:
When you're out on a shoot, and you say, "we'll fix this in post" without knowing PRECISELY HOW you're going to fix it in post, don't shoot it! You'll only end up shooting it over again.

You can do a simple Replace Footage command. On a Mac, you highlight the footage to be replaced, then option-drag the replacement footage from the project window to the comp window. I don't know the easy way to do it on a Windows box.
The replacement footage will take on ALL modified properties -- like scale -- and effects, plus any keyframes, etc. But if the footage has larger horizontal and vertical dimensions than the footage it replaces, you'll have to fix that yourself.
