What Colorspace to use with 4:4:4 RGB footage?
by Eugene Lehnert on May 19, 2008 at 10:35:42 pm

When I capture 4:4:4 RGB footage into Final Cut Pro from an HDCAMSR tape what Colorspace should I use to work in? The default setting seems to be shifting colors in my project on the render outs.

That depends on what you are finishing in. Typically you would be working in 709 for a hd cam sr 444 finish. P3 is also common for digital projection

Is this an AE question or a FCP question? You've already captured your footage to an RGB codec, and now you want to know how to work with it in AE?
