premiere to after effects workflow

I'm editing a music video at the moment. It's filmed with a Panasonic HVX 200 and I've copied the files from the P2 card. I'm almost done editing the video and i want to add effects to some of the clips on the timeline and transitions between others in after effects.
Now what is the best way to do this?
Dynamic link seems lika a good idea to use from after effects to premiere but how should i get the clips from premiere to AE. I could import the entire sequence in AE and choose the clips i want but it doesn't seem right since there are over one hundred clips in that sequence.
I could also export the clips from premiere but what setting should i use to not lose any quality? Tried "Uncompressed Microsoft avi" but the files got so big. 5 sec export is 439MB.
Is there anyone else who have had this problem with getting clips from premiere to AE in an easy way?
It would be nice if i could just drag the edited clip from the timeline into AE.

If I have a large prem timeline and I don't want to bring it all into AE I usually create a new timeline, copy the footage I'm going to play with from the main timeline and paste it in the new timeline, then import just the shorter timeline into AE (when you import, select the timeline's name from the dropdown).
If you do decide to render from prem first, choose an uncompressed format as AE doesn't work well with compressed formats and may not even import them. Besides, you can always delete hard drive hogging intermediate renders once you've finished your work in AE.
Finally, I believe you can also use dynamic link to get your AE comp back into prem without rendering it, though I've not tried this myself.

The easiest way is a simple and regular copy/paste : select the scene you want to edit in AE and copy it ( file > copy or ctrl+c ) open AE and paste.
It works in both ways ( AE -> PP2 and PP2 -> AE )
This operation also imports time's sequence info.
For instance, if you copy/paste a cut from 10m 00s to 10m 20s to a 20s AE comp, AE will adapt the comp length to you pasted footage.
However there is a problem with this method : you will loose the copy pasted footage when rebooting, like any copy/paste information. You could just copy/paste it again, but you cannot interpret > replace footage. You'll have to redo you animation or effects.

I echo the comment about the effects. When importing Prem 2.0 to AE 7 I found that fades are replaced by obscurity keyframes and function correctly, but all the shots I had flipped horizontally and/or vertically were reset to their original settings. Worth bearing in made re: workflow.
