Increasing text amounts
by Adam Cohen on May 12, 2008 at 2:16:59 pm

Hopefully someone can help me before I spend a week reinventing the wheel.

I'm looking to make an effect like an old cash register where the dollar amounts keep rising based on what someone buys.

The actual numbers don't have to rise in specified increments but it would be nice.

If I could get a number that will count up from $5 to like $1,825 over a duration that I can control that would be great.

I don't know if the best thing to use is a plug-in or expressions for the number values.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thank you for you help,
Adam

Thanks for the link, it'll be very useful.

I would still like to know if there is a way to get the actual source text to change values.(just keep climbing numbers)

Thanks so much for your help,
Adam

You can do an advanced search for numbers, infinity, timer, etc and you'll definitely hit something.

Here's one.
