Space warp snap - how to?
by David Del (DavidD) on May 9, 2008 at 7:53:09 pm

I wish I could remember where I have seen it before, but the when a sci-fi character goes through a space warp and comes out the other side, the screen kind of bounces like rubber - where as if a ship came out of warp, the screen warps behind it (like it was attached as a tail) - then snaps back into regular space. Any ideas? sorry if this isn't clear enough...but I am trying to recreate this effect.

After thinking about it, it is like when you pull taffy, the taffy strings along until it breaks. Very much like that idea - as the spaceship comes out of warp, the fabric of space is pulled with it and then snaps back into normal space.
