where did my codecs go?
by Aharon Charnov on May 7, 2008 at 6:56:46 pm

I went to render a quicktime .mov the other day and I noticed I have MANY, MANY fewer compression options. I am using AE 7.0 and have updated to the latest quicktime. Where is my sorenson? Can I get it back?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

In Quicktime Player, go to Edit > Preferences > Quicktime Preferences. In the advanced tab turn on "Enable encoding using legacy codecs".

That should sort you out.

Cheers,
Ben
