AE to Keynote render techniques

I've been trying to follow the advice given in the above thread and even bought Quicktime Pro after reading this forum. But I've still been having a little trouble maintaining good quality when compressing. My video that I'm trying to render for Keynote has a lot of movement of shadows and blurs and gradients that when I render with H.264 compression I get really jagged banding.

When I follow the instructions of rendering out as an image sequence and then opening up in Quicktime Pro to export using H.264, I get a very tiny (1.2 mb) not so great quality video. I wouldn't mind if my video was a lot bigger (even 50 mb), so I tried putting in a really high bitrate (10,000k/s), but I'm not getting much difference.

Any advice for a very inexperienced renderer like myself? My uncompressed video is about 330 mb, and I just wanted to get it down to about 50mb?
