Alpha channel not present in masked area
by Greg Hoopingarner on Apr 30, 2008 at 7:57:57 pm

I made the heart monitor as found in Aharon's tutorial and I noticed that in the masked area an alpha channel is not present. This is bad considering I need the heart monitor to sit on top of another layer in Avid. Any suggestions on how to make ALL of the black area an alpha channel?

You could create the heart monitor as a black and white image and use it as a luma matte for another solid layer. I don't remember the tutorial very well, but I'm sure there are other options as well.
