Resizing compositions from SD to HD

I am working on a project that has some animations that were previously created in a Standard Def format. We will be re-using these animations but will now be using a 1920 x 1080 HD format. The animations I am trying to use are vector animations. What is the best way to upconvert these compositions without losing the complex animations (null effects, scale and position transformations, etc.) Is there a simple way to do this?

Well, aside from the fact that you've designed for 4x3 rather than 16x9....
...duplicate your SD comp, turn it into an HD comp, then make a new Master Null that will be used to scale everything up. Of course, all the existing nulls' parent-child relationships will still exist, so be careful when parenting to the new Master Null.
Once you've got it to the proper size, you can then see what you have to fix.

The alternative would be to drop the SD comp into an HD comp, use Fit To Comp Height (or Width if you want a full 16:9 frame but this will cut the top and bottom of the 4:3 frame), and enable continuously rasterize/collapse transformations on the SD comp.
Unfortunately this doesn't quite work if there was a 3D camera in the SD comp, translating the coordinates of the camera from SD to HD can be a major pain.
