3D notes.

I have a project coming up where I'll need to have a band of 3D staff and notes flowing behind various actors.

Would Trapcodes 3D stroke get the job done?

I plan on masking out whatever side the notes will be coming out.

Thoughts?

As long as the notes don't have to have any bearing to the music you hear, and they don't need to look extruded, Particular ought to be able to do the job.

As for the musical staffs, that would require a different technique.

Yup. Jump on the Trapcode site and sniff around to find how to create different notes from the same emitter.

Off the top of my head, Illustrator and Zaxwerk's 3D Warps. There may be a better way.

I wonder if you could do the staffs using the ipod light streak Technique that Andrew Kramer did in his tutorial here at the cow.
