Animated Tears

So I’ve come upon this music video that have these animated tears in them and it looks pretty cool how animation was combined with video. So I was wondering if there were any tutorials or could you do a tutorial on this type of style…

I don't bother to watch these things, I don't have time to waste waiting for a specific effect to turn up. Mount the ten or fifteen seconds you want me to look at or wait for someone who has more patience to wade thru it.
Tears are easy to create in AE but, generally, animating them onto a face is nearly impossible.
