Nice.
A 3D application would have been used. Not only is it difficult to bend things in 3D space with After Effects, doing it at that scale would be impossible.
We can't assume that something promoting software was created with that software. :-)

I just love when someones work gets me thinking. Especially when things are impossible to do :) and if you know me, than you know that I just love taking the impossible and converting it procedurally to doeable :)
Of course I guess that 3D app would be much much easier, if not the only right and elegant choice, although it doesn't mean it cannot be done in AE.
It so happens that my disk array just died, I lost 4TB of data. I'm restoring it roght now, so I do have some spare time to scratch my head about this :)

I think adobe made this clip using after effects .
If you look to it deeply you will notice that non of the cards or the objects has an extrude . and i think building the castle and the bridge and all the objects can be done in after effects but the confusing thing is the animation of the cards to build these objects .
I don't think there is a 3D application was used to this. I belief that adobe is using the maximum of the integration between its CS3 and to challenge and tease us .
I hope someone of the genius guys of after effects can comment a post to benefit his experience.
