3D bend/bulge in AE CS3

I want to bend/bulge a layer in 3D space. So if a camera spins around it, it will look bended. Is there a way to do this in AE CS3?
Thanks in advance!

In AE, no.
You can fake it with some sophisticated parenting or layer-orienting.

But you can use any of several third party plugs to simulate real 3d space or to do it for real, like Invigorator from Zaxwerks, or whatever the current release is called.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: "For crying out loud, read the freakin' manual."

Yep. The third-party plugins are Zaxwerks 3D Warps, Conoa 3D Layer, or Forge Freeform. Download the trials if you can.

Freeform may be dead, since I don't think it has been updated for CS3, and I haven't seen a site update there since 2002.

Thanks for your replies! It's a pitty that AE (still) doesn't support some kind of "real", beveled 3D, in stead of flat layers in 3D space... But thanks! I guess this will help me out.
