DVCPRO HD codec
by Alisa Placas (APlacas) on Mar 26, 2008 at 8:33:26 pm

I've got a 2.5 dual G5 with OSX 10.4.11, running AE CS3.

I recently did an archive and reinstall. The codecs were wiped out, but I had backed them up so I just put them back in the quicktime folder.

I'm getting an AE failure on launch now though. I've narrowed the culprit down to being "DVCPROHDCodec.component."
There are a few other DVCPROHD video output components still in the library that don't seem to be causing trouble.

Problem is that I need to render some animations DVCProHD and I no longer have that option in my output settings. So, that problematic codec is the one I need.

Could it have been corrupted somehow? Or could I have caused some sort of conflict with the archive and reinstall?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Alisa
