Importing PSD to After Effects CS3 Layer Problems?

Help!

I'm new to importing PSD files into AF.

I'm trying to import my PSD so it looks the same on the AF stage. However, for whatever reason I can't seem to get the layers to look the same? I've tried everything. I have to be able to edit the elements within AF since I'm changing text and fading in/out different objects.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks again!

Why not just do most of it in AE? All you really need is that geometric circle-thing on an alpha channel, and you're good to go.

If you have AE8, you don't even need the red background, because you can put a bullnose mask on a red solid.

You get the ramp to the darker shade of red with AE's Ramp effect on a solid, copying the same bullnose mask you used earlier, then applying a blend (aka transfer) mode like multiply or overlay. Tweak the look using opacity or the Levels effect.

Heck, you can even rotate that circle-thing for a little animation.
