Error message when rendering in AE-"file not found"
by josh ryder on Mar 4, 2008 at 6:19:57 pm

This has just recently started and has been happening to every AEP file that I use. I select the composition I want to render, send it to render comp and hit render only to recieve the error message "after effects errors:creating move--file not found(-43)" Everytime!! Even on a file that has previously rendered. Ive checked and rechecked all of the files in the comp, everythings there but nothing will render.
Im using AEP 7.0 on Windows XP

HELP!!

Does one of your hard drives have non-cool characters such as ()&%!. in the drive name?

No the name is Local Disk (C:), however the icon for the drive changed at some point when i wasnt looking of its own magical free will and so I moved the project files to my (F:) drive hit render and the problem appears to have been solved. Of course now Im probablly going to have to replace a drive but at least I can render again.
