Help on New Comp plz

Hi there, i wish u guys can help me on a situation.
Im about to buy a new comp for After Effects CS3 Only, but i dont know what to buy.
A Mac or PC, i know both, but the thing ist that i want it to do visual and special effects, but the regular ones are so slow.
I need to know what makes preview faster, RAM, processor, Video Card.. so i can buy the perfect one.
I have like 1,500 dlls to do it, i know is not much but maybe there is ppl who bought a great pc with that kind of money and maybe can help me.
Links about Pc or Macs wold be good, or specs too.

I'm using Mac and PC which both work great for working in AE. Dell XPS 710 Core 2 Duo and a Mac G5 Dual 2.7. Load them up with ram, get second hard drives for data and if you're doing broadcast, an external ntsc monitor.
Color Grading presets for After Effects, Premiere, etc., plus free presets and more.
