Variable Text from external datasource? Usefull Assistants?

Hey Everyone,

I need to create several hundred graphics and would like to do it procedurally from an external dataset.

There used to be a script in useful assistants that would do this - but as far as I can tell it is no longer supported since 6.5.

Anyone know of a scipt that would allow us to create several different versions of our graphics based on an external datasource?
