Hi Guys,
So I watched the tutorial video on shape extruder, still haven't watched the "Studying Shape Extruder" video, perhaps the answer is in there...
Could someone kindly tell me, is there a way to have the edges of the shape (the depth) react to light? It's either a solid colour or solid gradient, whereas I would expect some faces to be lighter and some darker.
I suspect because the "extrusion" is made up of many "virtual" layers, that the shading of faces will not work, but I am hoping for a workaround.

Hi Jerzy,
The front face reacts to light, but no matter what colour I set the extrusion to, it remains the one colour on top, bottom, left side, right side, with no shading. Shading from lights is on the front only. If i had a light on the right side, I would expect the right sides of the extrusion to be lighter than the left sides, if that makes sense. Currently I can't figure out how to make it do this...

Well... thats true, but you can get this effect to some extend. If you put the light perfectly on the right side it wont change anything, or it will make the extrusion black. The etxtrusion is not treated as faces, but simply as a layer with fill and alpha, so it also reacts to lights, but not exactly how you'd like it. If you really really need this effect you have to do it with gradients on a stroke.
