greenscreen silhouettes

Hey i am jus about to embark on a project moving through a virtual landscape and I wanna have people as silhouettes in the land scape.
I have access to a decent greenscreen setup so i can key effectivly, how do i get from the keyed image to turning it into a layer that is a single colour.
On this note I wanna fill up some title outlines, so like water filling the titles up. Im guessing to use a clear tank put in front of the green screen and fill with some different colour opaque fluid. Unless anyone knows / has some of this type of footage already?

To make your keyed footage all one colour, just add the "fill" effect and choose whatever colour you want using that.
You can even do some funkier things by adding the "ramp" and "colorama" effects to your keyed footage. This will allow you to create unique gradients, both subtle and bold, to your keyed footage.
As Mark said, Generate > Fill will render the layer a single color.
You can play with shades of colors to suggest depth.
Depending on the look you're creating with water filling up the titles, you could either just animate the water surface or indeed shoot something in a small tank. You'll need to make sure the water is 'wild' enough otherwise it will just end up looking like a slightly animated mask - in which case that would be easier to do.
As for shooting the fluid: milk in front of a black background will be easier to get a nice matte from.
