render, email, save, shutdown mac script
by Frank van Mourik on Feb 7, 2008 at 3:54:40 pm

Hi there i was just wondering if there was a script that renders out everything in your render queue, than email that every thing is done and after that saves the project as a increment save and than shuts down your mac.

maby it's way to much, i never really used scripts in AE but this could be really useful for everybody out there!

and ideas?

bye Frank

AE ships with a render and email script as well as a save and increment script.. Joining them should be fairly trivial and adding a system command to shut the machine down should also be fairly simple.. You should give it a try.. that's how i got into scripting!

Hey Frank,

I went ahead and put it together for you. I agree that scripting can be very daunting.. you can take a look at the code if you want to try to figure it out.
