is there an expression?
by Christopher Dykes (Chris180kc) on Feb 6, 2008 at 10:11:21 pm

I have to try to make a countdown video really quick, and I was wanting to know if there is an expression I could use in AE 6.5 to achieve this. Let's say for instance I want to countdown from three minutes (3:00:00). Is there a way to do this even with the nanoseconds? Thanx!!

there's prolly a much better way to do this in terms of expressions, but couldnt you just use the Numbers effect, switch it to timecode, make a three min stretch and then pre-comp it, and time re-map and switch the keyframes?

oh and put "time" in the Value/Offset/Random Max expression field.

this is a quick fix, but i'm really looking forward to what the real solution is
