Automatic Font Replacement
by Andrea Stewart (germane) on Feb 6, 2008 at 9:45:43 pm

Does anyone know how to find out what font After Effects has used to substitute for missing fonts?

A project came to me with "Incognito" font, which I don't have. AE automatically stuck a different font in its place instead, but the character pallette still shows its Incognito - though this is in parentheses. I like what it used, but I need to tell someone else what font it is I'm using, and I don't know. Sounds kinda dumb.

I can see into your office! Bwah-haw-haw-haw!

Naah -- in general, Myriad seems to be the "uninvited" font around here. Illustrator seems to show no knowledge of the original font sometimes, so it just lists the substitute: Myriad.
