Illustrator Text for Animation with AE Text Presets

I've created my text in Illustrator, now I want to import it into my After Effects project and animate with some of the text presets in AE. One issue, the text in Illustrator was manipulated into objects / outlines. Any suggestions would be truly appreciated.

You can't animate Illustrator text with text animators in AE. The text has to be created in AE.

Those who know don't say, and those who say don't know.

In other words, those who know are under NDA, and those who talk about it aren't in the know. Personally, I have no idea, and Adobe historically has avoided discussing features until shipping time.
