NTSC Motion Graphics to PAL
by Joe Harrison (JLCMAN) on Jan 20, 2008 at 6:44:49 am

My problem is this..

I have just completed a very complex 15 second intro for a video all in motion graphics using After Effects at 30FPS.. Lots of camera and graphics movement cut to a music track..

and now I need it in PAl 25 FPS..

Does anyone know a fast solution for me to render this out in PAL .. my fear is that I will mess with all the timing doing a 25fps export.

Any suggestion would be truly appreciated..

Try creating a PAL composition and dropping your NTSC composition into it, then use Layer > Transform > Fit to Width to resize the NTSC footage.

If there are video elements in your NTSC comp then their frames may be blended, but if it's all animated/motion graphic elements then they will be re-timed in the PAL comp to have the same duration as they did in the NTSC comp.
