How To Make a Graph in After Effects

Does anyone know how to make a data graph (bar, pie, etc.) in After Effects without using any fancy (or expensive) additional software? Thanks!

Even though you didn't come out and say it, I'm going to assume that because you're using AE, you also intend to animate this graph. If that's not true, heck, I'd use a different application.

You could make it by hand using solids and masks, or using shape layers if you have CS3. Beyond that, there are a few tutorials scattered around, just do a Google search:
