scrolling numbers in timeline
by Christopher Loehrer on Dec 26, 2007 at 6:44:27 pm

I am creatine a 100 year motion graphix project. this project is really a timeline of events that brought the company to this point. It will have the dates, photos and a narrative running past the camera. The dates are what i would like to do something special with.

I would like to start with the 1908 date. then as i move through the timeline in space i want that date to go through the numbers upto 1923(showing all numbers along the way) then hold there until the narration moves us on to the next date. Then slide up the timeline again to the 1950-ish.

What can i do to get this effect. I watched the slot machine tutorial bot i do not think that is quite right.

"numbers" will do that; get the font you like, check off the decimals and put keyframes for offset value; 1908 etc.
