Installation Problem...Need Help

I just recently got Adobe After Effects CS3 Professional for Windows XP. I put the disk in to start installation. A screen appears prompting me to Install After Effects. After I hit this a loading screen appears that says Initializing Adobe After Effects. Once the the box shows that it has loaded fully, another box appears that looks like it would be the next step in the installation process. But as soon as it appears, it disappears. Its gone. Nothing happens after that. I need help. Thanks.
