Magical Light Streaks...?

	Magical Light Streaks...? by Alon Admoni on Dec 13, 2007 at 12:23:01 am I'm looking for the fastest way to create some cool looking light streaks that twirl around an object. I've tried Andrew Kramer's Light Streaks tutorial but I'm not getting the results I want. I want it to look "magical" like some type of spell was casted on the object, transforming it to something else. Any clues how to achieve this look? P.S, I need something that works on a white background (which is why a lot of emitters on Particle Illusion just don't look good here). Thanks Respond to this post   •   Return to posts index

	Re: Magical Light Streaks...? by Aharon Rabinowitz on Dec 13, 2007 at 1:39:36 am FYI - for putting particles over a light BG in particleIllusion, there's a feature called "preserve color" which essentially adds a duplicate particle behind the partticle but it's black - at least that's my understanding of how it works - either way... it gets the job done. I haven't actually watched that tutorial, but I had assumed the "orbing" effect would be similar to the "orbing" effect from the TV series "Charmed" (which, from memory, involves a light streak wrapping around a person).
