Mapping two images together for transition
by Dave Anderson on Dec 8, 2007 at 8:13:02 pm

I have a question about how to transition from one item to another using coordinates. Not sure if it's possible.

I would like to morph one scene into another by assigning maybe 12 coordinate points to each scene. Then the transition would basically be matching up the coordinates for the tow images over time.

What I'm trying to do is to go from a 3D-looking rendering (it's 2D though) of a house, to it's 2D floor-plan. The though is to squish the house as the camera flies up over and starts to look down onto what has become the 2D floor plan.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks much.

Dave

AE doesn't have any really great tools for this... You might look at the Distort > Reshape effect (read up on it in the help, F1), but this effect takes some getting used to.
