Mac Pro and 16GB RAM

Hi,

Will there be any benefit of having 16GB RAM in a Mac Pro when working with After Effects CS3 and Photoshop CS3 ?

You're kidding, right? I'd give my left arm for 16GB of ram, but alas, PC with only 3. I can't even use 4GB, because that would require XP-64 bit OS, and apparently Adobe does NOT recommend using XP-64 w/CS3.... that thing will SCREAM....

Heck, yes. If you set up AE8 for multiple processors, AE will be able to access 2GB RAM per processor. The result: longer RAM previews and faster renders.... always a good thing!

We got Nucleo Pro to actively use 26 gigs of memory in our octo with 32gigs of memory total....yeah it was expensive...but the turn around time is INSANE.

Nucleo Pro is on sale at toolfarm.com. Its within your best interest to buy it, its much quicker, efficient, and useful than the AE multiprocessor mode.

Its on sale until tomorrow. As far as I'm concerned it has paid for itself over and over again.
