installing boris plugins
by Mike Armstrong on Nov 12, 2007 at 4:17:43 pm

Hi,

I've tried installing Boris continum complete into Adobe After Effects CS3. I ran the boris & installed everything the way I was told to, but I do not have any of the Boris effects available in AE, (or FCP for that matter & was told that they'd work there).

Anyone have any idea what I can do to get Boris to show up in AE?

Thank you.

are you running Leopard? If you are, then that is the issue. I contacted Boris about the issue and they are aware of it. No solution yet, but they are aware of it.

if you have an intel-mac, make sure you have universal binary versions of boris. you should be able to verify version compatibility on their site.

if you wanted to do a quick test to see if that's the problem, select the ae app and choose file>get info. check the box that says something about 'run under rosetta.' then open ae and see if you have access to the effects.

if it works, then you need ub versions of the plugins and will need to download updates (or possibly purchase upgrades). check their website.
